What worked

(1/2) Editing

The video has constantly changing visuals, without feeling overwhelming.

While it uses some stock footage, it mainly utilises custom graphics, punchy transitions accompanied by SFX, and interesting use of text.

(2/2) Addresses audience

In the first two minutes, the creator asks the types of questions that their target audience would also want to ask.

As I’ve said in the past, this is a great way to re-engage your audience’s attention.

It makes them feel seen, and gives them the confidence that you understand where they’re coming from and what they want to know.

What to improve

(1/2) Voiceover

This is fairly monotone and could be more engaging. I assume it’s an AI voice, but it could be worth hiring somebody to read the voiceovers at some point in the future.

(2/2) Payoff

It becomes evident around halfway through the video that the ultimate payoff can be boiled down to this:

“If I think bigger and stop limiting my money mindset, wealth will come to me”.

The problem is, this point was initially made during the first minute.

As compelling as the video is visually, and as interesting as the topic is, I feel the “spell” starting to wear off at around 6 minutes as I ask myself:

“What have I actually learned?”

This type of retention graph is absolutely classic for a video that’s made in this way.
