If you’re handling smaller items in your content, there’s a risk your audience might start to feel outside the loop.
But David shows close-up B-Roll of everything he discusses.
This keeps us feeling like part of the “gang”, which is critical for retention.
The video idea is super inventive.
Taking an ordinary concept and constraining it is a powerful way to come up with interesting ideas.
But David missed just one thing that causes issues in this video overall…
The main problem?
I don’t know why we need to create this kit.
It’s a fun experiment for sure, but why does it matter to the audience?
David definitely could have posited a more specific question, e.g. can we fit the tools necessary to perform X?
Could this have been based on a genuine story of someone being in medical need?
Could you and I feasibly survive the situation if we had such a kit?
This would have added a more personal, storytelling element, while playing on audience fears.
