(1/2) Storytelling

The ultimate payoff that gets set up in the hook is crystal clear:

Can he get 1000 followers and 2 viral videos in 5 days?

But this creator is great at sprinkling mini-payoffs throughout the video, e.g.

Discovering new AI tools and showing us what they can do.
Combining the use of multiple tools which, in turn, shapes his TikTok strategy.
Seeing small wins constantly (i.e. video goes viral, gains a bunch of followers, etc).

These mini-payoffs are rewarding in themselves, but also actively build towards that ultimate payoff (seeing whether he can achieve the goal)

(2/2) Editing

Check out how varied the visuals are in this video.

The creator goes from his chair, to popping up from behind some text, to typing at his laptop (B-Roll), etc.

I noticed something even cooler too.

He uses the theme of the video to dictate his editing choices, e.g. using the chatGPT search bar as a way to display punchy text, rather than just adding basic text overlays.

Having said that, there was one thing he could have improved about his visuals…
